My friend filmmaker and visual and performance artist Jil Guyon is having three films screened at Cinedanse Quebec this month. I scored two of the films, Widow and Vigil. Widow, my first collaboration with Jil, features drums and percussion by SPIKE the percussionist and vocals by mezzo-soprano Lainie Diamond. Desert Widow features original music by Mihoko Suzuki. The cinematography for all three films is by Valerie Barnes.
Cinédanse Québec 2015 will be held from September 24 to 27 at the Musée de la civilisation in Québec City in conjunction with the museum's exhibit Rebel Bodies.
