Thrown October 26 at Purchase College Performing Arts Center

I am performing October 26 with Racoco Productions as part of All Fired Up! A Celebration of Clay at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College. We'll be presenting Thrown with choreography by Rachel Cohen and original music by me.

I will be onstage with the dancers (along with about 2,000 pounds of clay) cuing and mixing the score live using Ableton Live and a Kaoss Pad. The score uses recordings I made in a pottery studio as well as the sounds of rocks, kalimba, and electric guitar feedback. The resulting composition is dirty, tactile, and ritualistic...at times static, at times unpredictable...and always at the service of the dancers (there will be three onstage) and their mysterious sometimes humorous interaction with clay.

Details below. Peace.
